Launch of new Van Wijk

A proud moment in Lelystad: the official launch of the new Van Wijk class lifeboat Trudy Bakhuis for KNRM station Lelystad.

This next generation lifeboat represents reliability, innovation and operational strength. Designed for rapid response and maximum safety, the Van Wijk class is built to perform under demanding conditions on open water.

During the launch event, the vessel was formally presented and blessed before entering service. Surrounded by volunteers, supporters and maritime professionals, it marked an important milestone for the station and everyone involved in the project.
